No. 4 seed Andy Roddick overcame a first set loss and a tight shoulder to take his second title of the season over Gilles Muller, 1-6, 7-6(2), 6-2 on Sunday in Atlanta.
Slamming 18 aces during the three set encounter, Roddick survived 20 aces by his Luxemburg opponent and improved to 4-1 in head-to-head matches.
Winning the title in Eastbourne prior to Wimbledon, Roddick will next see action at the Olympic Games in London.

No. 3 seed Juan Monaco captured his sixth career title and entered the top 10 in the ATP World Tour rankings for the first time in his career on Sunday, defeating Tommy Haas 7-5, 6-4 in Hamburg, Germany.
Trailing 4-1 in the first set and 2-0 in the second set, Monaco used his consistent back-court play to wear down his 34-year-old opponent. Ranked No. 49 in the world, Haas showed flashes of when he was ranked No. 2 on the computer, but couldn’t sustain his lead in either set. Having captured the Halle title earlier in the year, Haas is expected to hit No. 35 in the world on Monday.
Taking home 500 ATP World Tour points, Monaco improved to 31-10 on the season, and inched closer to his 250th career singles victory. The Argentine currently stands with 248 wins.

CRÉDIT AGRICOLE SUISSE OPEN GSTAAD—Gstaad, Switzerland
Brazilian Thomaz Bellucci won his third career Tour title on Sunday in Gstaad, defeating top seed and world No. 8 Janko Tipsarevic, 6-7(6), 6-4, 6-2.
Hitting 10 aces and winning 80 percent of his first serve points, Bellucci broke serve on five occasions, and surrendered his serve twice. Improving to 2-1 against Tipsarevic in lifetime meetings, Bellucci also improved to 20-14 on the year.
Tipsarevic, who was going for his second straight clay-court title in as many weeks, fell to 39-15 on the year.
